Credentials Work Both Ways

Obtaining and marketing an industry credential can be the best money you’ve ever spent; however, if the credential has little credibility, it can be the most expensive piece of paper you’ve ever bought.

During depositions, all attorneys seem to relish asking questions about your credentials.  Because internet postings never vanish, that may include certificates you didn’t maintain.  Experienced attorneys will ask you about each credential and expect you to explain what it means within the industry.  And then, depending on which side of the case you represent, they will probably proceed with attempts to destroy or embellish your professionalism.

Make no mistake, the credentials you hold will directly reflect how your credibility will be perceived during the deposition.

Perhaps now is the time to see if you qualify for the only true certifications in the IAQ industry – the accredited certifications backed by the integrity, credibility and independence of the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC).
