Change in Billing Procedures Effective Immediately

ACAC will no longer send invoices 90 days in advance of certification expiration dates to remind certificants that they should prepare for recertification.  ACAC will only send one recertification invoice 60 days prior to expiration.

ACAC certificants should now use the new ACACvault to store a copies of their certification certificates and set their own reminder dates.

The ACACvault is our new subscription program that allows storage of documents with the ability to specify an action reminder date.   Subscribers can upload documents – such as certifications, estimates, proposals, licenses and other time-sensitive documents – and set a date to be reminded by email and/or text that an action is needed.  No longer do you need to worry about an expiration date – this new program eliminates those worries for you and your employees.  Click on the ACACvault icon on our homepage – it’s FREE to those who hold a current ACAC certification.

Change in Recertification Credits Effective January 1, 2018

In the past, ACAC allowed continued activity in the field as 20 of the required 40 recertification credits (RCs) needed during the two-year certification period.  Beginning January 1, 2018, RCs for continued field activity will be limited to 10. This means ACAC certificants will need at least 30 credits of continuing education and professional development activities to meet the 40 RC requirement.

However, ACAC has made getting recertification credits (RCs) much easier and less expensive.  You now have another way to continue your professional development.  Check out the video for ACAC.LIVE on the ACAC homepage.  Many of your professional peers have already expressed their approval of this time- and money-saving new subscription program.

Changes in the CMRS Program Effective January 1, 2018

The field experience required for candidates applying for the Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS) program increases from five (5) to eight (8) years.
