Today, the National Interagency Fire Center reports 111 large active wild fire complexes, bringing this year's total number of large wild fires to 41,563!  Wow!  So, where did we get these numbers?  Bring up www.nifc.gov (a governmental site that updates daily) to see more on this huge issue.  If that isn't enough to peak your interest, ask Google to show you the "fire watch areas" in the US and Canada - they're everywhere!
